Beauty

Hi, Rikki here with my first post for you, as a new design team member..... nothing like a bit of nerves to get the mojo flowing and some fabulous new products as well. I was given the stunning new range from Kaisercraft - Rustic Harmony.

I just knew that I wanted to go a bit shabby chic with this layout as soon as I saw this charm...... perfect for the girls in our lives. To add that final touch to the charm, I just hit it with a dry brush of Prima Art Basics - Heavy Gesso, using a paper towel to take off the extra to showcase the details in the charm.

Why not grab some glass cabochons? They are in store now in different sizes, I love them because they give you a little hidden detail in your flower clusters, like little rain drops.....

My favourite thing to do when getting a new range is grab the Kaisercraft Rustic Harmony Collectables kit, they have the ''best'' bits to add layers and details to your layout (like the butterfly and other diecuts around the layout).

A tip when clustering your flowers start with the largest one you have in your stash and then work around that, it allows your to angle other flowers around it to give you height.

You cant go past a wood veneer title and if you pop into the store you wont be disappointed, its works so well with this range also to make it work with the layout, lightly brush it with some Prima Art Basics - Heavy Gesso.

When you finish your layout add Prima Art Basics - Heavy Gesso over all the flowers with a dry brush it allows every colour of the flowers to blend in.
